"Excellent! Thanks. I love the products, your professionalism and the level of support." - David Battistella

"Nattress filters are the best value, quality is outstanding and the variety is great." - David Slater

Standards Conversion

"I'm shooting a documentary about Ireland, so the challenge is to find the best way to convert archival PAL footage to NTSC, so it matches the footage I've shot. After researching many alternatives, I have come to the conclusion that the Standards Conversion filter from Nattress.com is the best option out there - both for quality and cost. Actually, it's not the best option, it's the ONLY option. Don't waste your time with anything else. This filter saved my life... and my film." - John Fitzgerald, http://www.IrishBaseballMovie.com

"The Standard Conversion plug in was an essential tool for me to be able to work with Final Cut Pro. I am working on an animated film that is rendered at 24 fps. The project will end up on film, but our needs require us to transfer to tape every day. Without properly expanding to 29.97 this would be impossible. At first, I could not believe this was not a standard option, Graeme's customer service is outstanding; I would definitely recommend his software" Tyler DeAngelo - CG editor

"I just finished a feature, "The Cinderella Man - The True Jim Braddock Story," due out this Spring. I used your Standards Conversion to make the PAL versions. It worked fantastically!!!! (And saved my behind too.) Thank you for doing a great job and sharing your ideas and software with us!": Victor Maldonado

FinalTouch

"The Nattress ColorFX have some very useful additions to the FinalTouch ColorFX. There is a useful and subtle noise reduction node ‘G Smart Denoise’ included as well as modifiable bleach bypass node ‘G Dleach Bybass’. Most useful is the ‘G blend’ node which allows you to build FX trees and apply composite modes - with multiply, screen, overlay, hard/soft light etc. more akin to those in FCP itself."

Chris Short, Colourist Granada Bristol

Film Effects

"Just to thank you for a great product, and to say that it's helped me get my first Job on a Hollywood feature."- Maf Lewis - Plastic Raygun Media - See Maf's Music video for Tara Busch

"Thanks for the quick replies graeme! and hanks again for the amazing film filters - i went with "basic" across the board for a quick looksie, and i'm liking it so much i may just leave the whole film with that particular filter! many thanks,"
- Blaine

"The product itself and the support from Graeme is outstanding! Five minutes after purchasing the "Film Effects" I already had 3 great effects rendered into my timeline. This product is a MUST have!" - Mike Plant

"Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for your wonderful Film Effects package.

Last spring I was hired to direct a music video for Universal Music artists The Features. It was a very tight turnaround and I couldn't get the film I wanted Fed Ex'd to me in time for the shoot, so I went with my trusty DVX 100a in anamorphic. Being very careful to maintain a good DoF we shot the video and went to post. After we had a lock on the video I went in and started tweaking the look with Film Effects. I ended up settling on a nice 70's look and sent it off to Universal for approval. They loved it.

When it came time to deliver I sent them a master of the video and the three DV tapes I shot. They called me saying that they needed the original negatives and the telecine transfer tape before they'd release my check. I told them that I don't have the negatives... "well you need to get them from the transfer house" they said. I told them they didn't understand, I shot the video on video and before they ask for the HD tape, the mini dv tapes in your possession are the originals. They could not believe that the video was shot on tape. Your plug ins were that last little something that put the video over the edge and pulled the wool over the eyes of a major record label! Thanks!"- Chad Denning Peace Frog Productions

"Just wanted to let you know that my wife has been using Film Effects at her office for the last year or so, and they absolutely love it!

The show they produce (www.couragetocreate.com) has been picked up by the DIY network to premiere next fall! One of the things that DIY loved about the show was the production quality. They were amazed at how good it looks, especially being a two person operation --- my wife produces, shoots, & edits, and her partner hosts it!

So, just one more on the list of shows that has succeeded with the Film Effects package!" Travis Ballstadt www.thrillcatproductions.com

"I just wanted to let you know that I used your Film Effects tool on a 52-minute extreme sports video/movie for Saab/Salomon. I am the Producer and Director.

I want to thank you for creating such a wonderful product!!! I don't know what I would have done without it" advaloreminternational.com - Victor Muh

"I just purchased you filters and am so happy with them. I worked with cinelook in after effects for several years (long long long render times) and have been looking for a alternative since working in final cut and your filters are definitely the answer. thanks" - Jody Cox

"I shot a 20 minute film with a Sony DSR-500WS, in the summer of 2003. At the time, the DVX100 had only been on the street for about 6 months and was still somewhat unproven as a quality 24P camera. The budget did not allow for 24P HD. And ultimately I was forced to shoot 60i NTSC with the Sony DSR-500WS strictly for budget reasons.

After an exhaustive post schedule the film was finally completed this spring. And while I was plenty satisfied with the quality of the image, the 60i motion signature was a huge detractor from the cinematic look. Many colleagues stated that the film looked great, but the movement gave it away as digital.

After discussing post options like Magic Bullet, to manipulate the motion signature, an editor suggested that we try Nattress. I took a look at the demo results and was very impressed. The plug ins were so incredibly affordable that the producers had nothing to lose. So the editor ran the final cut of the film through the 24 frame conversion. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. In terms of cost to performance ratio for 60i to 24 frame pulldown plug ins, Nattress can't be beat!" - Jon Fordham, Award Winning Cinematographer

"A belated thank you for your incredible Film Effects package! As an old Cinelook user, the discovery of your amazing utility has been like stumbling upon the DV equivalent of the Holy Grail!" Richard Wilson

"I just wanted to let you know that I recently purchased your Film Effects software and used it for the first time this past weekend. I did post-production on a 10 minute short and think your program made a world of difference. Everyone was really happy with the 24 fps emulation and color correction. I'm spreading the word and encouraging people to order a copy of their own. Keep up the great work." Mitch Martinez

"Since incorporating Film Effects into my portfolio reel, my work appears so beautiful that
colleagues swear I have been shooting on film!" Spiro

"As I neared completion of "A Decade of Nada," all the shots looked great, the surround mix was rocking, but it still looked like video. About halfway through the project I switched from a PC with Vegas to a Mac with Final cut Pro (after losing 700 GB of footage in a PC crash). One thing Vegas could do was render 30i to 24p very quickly and easily. After seeing the project at 24p for so long, I knew it was the look I was going for, but FCP wouldn't do it...

It was a no-budget project, completely funded out of my pocket, so after buying a Mac & FCPHD, there wasn't anything left in the budget (i.e. my checking account) for Magic Bullet. I had read a lot of positive things about Graeme's Film Effects on the Apple Discussion Boards, so I checked out his website, downloaded the demos, and within about 5 minutes of playing with them, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.

Not only do they offer me the 24p look I (and my clients) love, but there tons of great Film Look presets for every application, and if you can't find a preset to your liking, they're very easily customizable.

There's really no reason to spend the money on the more expensive plug ins and applications --- Graeme's Film Effects does everything they do, it does it faster, and at a fraction of the cost." Travis Ballstadt http://www.thrillcatproductions.com

"The Film filters rock! I really enjoy using the film flash transition. I love the way it looks. Thanks for making the filters easy to use and so reasonable. It makes my production quality skyrocket!" Marcus Buckner

"We showed some test footage with the demo filters, and people were asking us where to get them. It's really amazing! It practically doubles the value of our material from an aesthetic standpoint. You made my year." Tim Gunn writing about Film Effects

"I noticed on the website that you list FCP3 and FCP4 for compatibility. Just to let you know, I'm using G Film under FCE 1 with no problems whatsoever. Great plugins. We looked at a variety of solutions, (Magic Bullet, Cinelook, DV Filmmaker) and decided that your set looked the best for our need s. I showed dailies of our current production, a short titled "5 O'Clock News" to a test group. Everyone wanted to know how we could afford to shoot a short on 16mm." Jeremiah Hall - OSK Productions

"I just wanted you to know that I used Film Effects on a local commercial recently. I was very pleased with the results. I was told that it looked like a national ad." Nick Toth

"I have been a TV producer and f/x specialist for a decade. I stopped shooting on 35 and 16 mm film for my larger shows years ago do to obvious financial reasons but have never been happy with the various film look alternatives.
Since we purchased your film look package, everybody here who uses it is delighted with it. Ease of use, integration in final cut pro, and the look. (I would have paid a lot more for it had I known how nice it was).
well done! We will absolutely look into your other products and recommend you to everybody we deal with."
Willie Stevenson

"And Graeme's Film look filters are truly incredible, (high praise coming from a film-look total skeptic) especially at $100. I tried FilmFX ($500) and Magic Bullet (forget how much but expensive and SO slow) and G Film kicks all their butts, IMHO. Plus it seems to render faster than all the others, and the manual is great, with such helpful tips as 'apply G Film before other filters for faster rendering' "
"one of the best written overviews of film and video ever in the manual." Chris Poisson - FishEyeEdit

"I'll second that you need to look at Graeme's Film Effects plug-ins. I just used them on a project and it really worked great. It comes with a variety of presets which are great by themselves, but also good starting points to make minor changes as you may require." Jim Rietz
