Do Nattress Final Cut Pro Plugins work with FCP 5.1 and FCP 5.1 on Intel?
Yes they do! The current versions work great, from FCP3 upwards.

Do I need to pay for upgrades?
Upgrades to Nattress Plugins are currently free, although we retain the right to change this policy in the future. When you purchase, your name and email address go into a database. When a new version is released, you will be informed via email so that you can download it.
What about Bug Fixes?
If you find a bug, please email techsupport@nattress.com with the details. We need to know the details of the system you are using, and may ask you to email screenshots or movies that show us the problem and help us to duplicate the error here. We try to fix bugs as quickly as we can, whenever we're informed of them.
After buying, how do I get the plugins?
After buying, you will see on the final page, an invoice, and it will have download buttons on it. YOU MUST PRESS THE DOWNLOAD BUTTONS, then your new plugins will immediately begin downloading to your computer. See below:
What is the Software Licence?
All sales are final. It is your responsibility to download, test and use the free demo versions first to make sure that they are suitable for whatever use you intend of them.
The software is copyrighted. It may not be copied without the express permission from Nattress Productions Inc. When you buy a copy of the software it is for use on one computer only.
Can I make Backups of the software?
You may make a single backup of the software. However, if you lose your copy of the software, email techsupport@nattress.com with your purchase number, and we will email you a new copy of the software.
What about instructions?
Full instructions are included with each Nattress Plugin package as pdf. You can also download the instructions here. Tutorial movies are also available for some plugins. The movies are available here.
Windows?
At this time there are no versions of the plugins that run on Windows systems, and there are no plans to develop for the Windows platform.
Do you give academic discounts, student discounts etc?
No. We sell at one cheap price for everyone.
Download problems
Download problems can occur. If the file in a .sit archive, it is important you have the latest Stuffit Expander from www.stuffit.com You can use the free version, so you don't have to buy anything extra.
Final Cut Pro Plugin FAQ
How do I install the plugins?
Copy the plugins to the correct folder: /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/

You should use the Finder to make sure all plugins have both read and write permission.
Which version of Final Cut Pro can I use?
The plugins are developed and tested on the current version of Final Cut Pro, which is Final Cut Pro 6. They are compiled in Final Cut Pro 3 to provide compatibility with FCP3, FCP4, FCP HD, FCP5, FCP6 (Final Cut Studio 2).
Final Cut Express?
The majority of the plugins work in Final Cut Express. Please download a demo and ensure they work for your needs before buying.
The plugins don't appear in Final Cut Pro. What do I do?
Check to make sure the plugins appear with the above icon (looks like a lego brick), in the correct folder: /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins/ . If the icon is different, you need to download the latest version of Stuffit Expander and re-expand the original download files. Get this free software at www.stuffit.com/mac/expander/. This problem occurs when files are stuffed with a later version of Stuffit than the version which unstuffs these files.
FinalTouch Plugin FAQ
What do I need to know about installation?
The installer for the Nattress Advanced Plugins for FinalTouch is a standard Mac OS X installer.
Please select into which version of FinalTouch you wish to install the plugins; 2k, HD or SD. You are also given the option to install some ColorFX node tree presets. These presets show you how you can combine the plugin supplied together to create new and interesting effects. They get installed into your ~/Library/FinalTouch/Bins/Effects folder.
IMPORTANT: In FinalTouch “Set Up” room, be sure to set, under “Project Settings”, “Always Deinterlace” to OFF, and under “User Preferences”, “Proxy ColorFX” to OFF. |
