This filter gives you edge dependent contrast masking. This preserves the integrity of edges, while still enabling a high degree of contrast control over remaining regions. In effect, by preserving the edges, you can push the contrast to a higher, or ‘hyper’, level, without destroying your image.

Controls the edge masking. Smaller numbers include more ‘edges’.
Contrast Mask Amount
0 to 100
Controls the spread or strength of the contrast mask. Use Radius and Contrast Mask Amount to fine tune which areas receive the contrast effect.
Effect Amount
0 to 100
Controls how much of the effect is applied, by blending the contrasted image with the original image.
