Bird Brains: The Nest Generation

Bird Brains is a puppet based 5 minute sci-fi epic, showing off the Nattress Special Effects Filters from Big Box of Tricks. It's full of action and fun! Written by the husband and wife team of Graeme & Wendy Nattress, shot in 16x9 widescreen on a Sony PDX-10 DVCAM and edited in Final Cut Pro.

Traditionally, the special effects for this kind of production would have been done in After Effects, but as an experiment we decided to see how much could be done in FCP - All of the special effects were done in FCP - no AE needed! This really shows the power of FCP and it's scripting API.
